On Saturday the 14th of October 2023 saw the Advanced Breast Cancer Group hold the regular Workshop for Women, Partners, Families and Friends. The workshop was a great success, with members and families attending, although we did miss those women who weren’t able to be there this time.
This workshop consisted of a Q&A session with Dr Rebecca Moor, an oncologist at the Mater Cancer Care Centre. Dr Moor provided valuable information about the treatment and management of metastatic breast cancer. Following Dr Moor was Prof Phillip Good, from St Vincent’s Private Hospital who answered questions about the various aspects of palliative care.
To conclude the workshop, a stakeholder meeting took place to discuss the future of the Advanced Breast Cancer Group.

Freeze a big cookup and keep in the freezer for when you have chemotherapy, and are not feeling well. Ignore housecleaning – spend your days doing stuff you enjoy. If the housecleaning is too much employ domestic help, or ask family or friends to assist.
