Some of you may have heard that the group and our service features in a recent Encounter program on ABC RN entitled “The Power of Vulnerability” produced by Carmel Howard. Pia and 2 women from the group – Lesley and Carol – were interviewed for the program. The key message was that true courage and strength comes from being able to accept and engage with one’s own vulnerability. Clearly this is the challenge for women in the ABCG and one that they meet so admirably. Carmel also recorded the start of one group and captured another woman, Leona speaking about how talking with other women in the group provides a much needed balance to the more clinical approach of doctors and health professionals involved in their care.

Travel Insurance
Women who have advanced breast cancer will usually not be insured for any treatment that involves the breast cancer while travelling overseas, but can be insured for other health events.
